Tall Trees Eco Retreat - Blackwood Cottage

Amazing break away from our hectic lives Positive: The location of this property was outstanding - we LOVED staying there! It was soooo quiet, all we could hear were the frogs and birds. Negative: I'm struggling to think of anything at all

Excellent stay to be relaxed and recharged Positive: Perfect relaxing stay middle of the forest. Negative: One of the cottages does not have an internet connection, while the other cottage does. During our stay, we faced difficulties communicating with each other because there was no mobile phone reception in the forest area. Although the concept of the place is to provide an off-grid experience, I believe both cottages should have an internet connection to allow basic communication and ensure guests can contact each other when needed.

Positive: A secluded place of beauty - a gorgeous property with cosy cottages. We had such a lovely time. As a family we walked the bowerbird track, looked at glow worms, fed rosellas and possums, and ventured out to explore the surf coast. In the mornings and evenings we enjoyed sitting by the fire in the cottage drinking hot chocolate, playing games and listening to music. It was peaceful and cosy.

It was so relaxing to listen to the old vinyl records while sitting next to the log fire at night and then sleeping in t Positive: Tall trees retreat really is a gem in Apollo Bay.Hosts Vic and Dave made myself and partner feel very welcome at this truly incredible relaxing retreat. It felt like life slowed down for 2 nights and just let nature and the wildlife remind us how lucky we are and appreciate the what it has to offer.

Positive: The place was amazing. The cabin in the woods - for us was quite an adventure. It was so lovely to go off grid and the house is really cosy and has all the things you need. We loved the old LPs Negative: Really nothing, the only thing is that you need to prepare yourself to be offline in the woods - no real close close neighbours and love the sounds of nature.
